About the Tour
Speed of Sound marks Crush 40’s first full world tour, bringing the band’s music to fans across multiple countries for a celebration of their history, their songs, and the community that has supported them for so many years.
For more than two decades, Crush 40’s music has become closely connected with the history of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Songs such as Live & Learn, Open Your Heart, What I’m Made Of... and many others have become fan favourites around the world, and Speed of Sound is built around celebrating that incredible catalogue.
Fans can expect a show packed with classic Crush 40 tracks, alongside music from throughout the band’s career.
The tour is very much a passion project, led by Johnny Gioeli and supported by a team of people who grew up with this music themselves. From the beginning, the aim has been simple: create a show that understands why these songs mean so much to fans and give them a chance to celebrate that history together.
At selected locations, Speed of Sound will also feature our full immersive production.
These shows will combine the live concert with original animations, custom visuals, holographic effects and an original story created specifically for the tour. Rather than simply sitting behind the band, the visual elements have been designed to develop alongside the music and become part of the overall experience.
Music, animation, storytelling and live performance will all come together to create something different from a traditional Crush 40 concert, while keeping the band and their music firmly at the centre of the show.
Speed of Sound is also planned to be the final Crush 40 tour, making this a very special opportunity for fans around the world to
come together and celebrate the music, memories and history of the band.
